Sober living facilities are an excellent way to prevent relapse while participating in an outpatient program. It provides a balanced combination of structure and flexibility with a supportive, sober network of fellow residents.
Often, individuals will complete a residential program and move into a sober living residence for continued support while participating in a lower level of care. However, patients may also begin treatment directly at an outpatient level of care and opt for this type of supportive housing from the start.
